College Navigator - From the U.S. Dept. of Education, College Navigator is your direct link to nearly 7,000 colleges and universities in the United States. It provides a wide range of information -- such as programs offered, retention and graduation rates, prices, aid available, degrees awarded, campus safety, athletics, and accreditation. If you are thinking about a large university, a small liberal arts college, a specialized college, a community college, a career or technical college or a trade school, you can find information on all of them here. There is also a Spanish-language version of this tool available.

College Blue Book. 32nd ed.,  2005. (Available in Gale Virtual Reference Library.) Includes lists of colleges and universities and the degrees they offer. Volume 5 also includes scholarships, fellowships, grants and loans. (Available only to UA.) Latest edition also available in print at LA226 .C685 InfoCommons Ref.

College Source Online - features over 40,000 College Catalogs in original page format fully hyper linked and with many details. (Available only to UA.)

College Guide - Peterson's Education Center. - Detailed information on colleges and continuing education programs. Created by Peterson's Guides, Inc.

College and University Rankings - Created by the Education and Social Science Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The purpose of the site is to draw together and provide context to various ranking services.

CollegeNet - Online information about colleges, programs, scholarships, academic resources, financial aid, and more.

Diversity Web - Links how universities and colleges are fitting diversity into its educational mission. Also focuses on recruitment efforts and political, judicial and legislative issues.

UnivSource - Includes information on colleges, universities and community colleges in the US and Canada arranged by name, location and program. Designed to help those students who are considering higher education in the United States or Canada but are uncertain of the formalities involved in doing so.

Scholarships and Fellowships and Loans

FastWeb - Find money for college from a database of over 600,000 scholarships, or find your dream school from a database of over 4000 colleges.

FinAid: The Financial Aid Information Page - Scholarships, loans and fellowship sites are all provided in this informative comprehensive site.

Sallie Mae: Student Loans - Higher education loan information is provided for students, parents, college financial aid professionals, high school guidance professionals, media and investors.

Scholarships, Fellowships and Loans. 21st ed., 2005. (Available in Gale Virtual Reference Library.) Entries are arranged alphabetically by administering organization; awards administered by each organization follow that organization's listings. Also includes indexes for fields of study, place of study and special recipient categories.

The White House Fellowships Page - Find out how you can work at the White House from September 1 to August 31st. The deadline for applications is February 1. There are no age or education restrictions.

Grants

Community of Science Funding Opportunities - The most comprehensive source of funding information available on the Web, with more than 23,000 records, representing over 400,000 funding opportunities, worth over $33 billion. (Available only to UA.)

Fullbright Scholar - Fulbright grants are made to U.S. citizens and nationals of other countries for a variety of educational activities, primarily university lecturing, advanced research, graduate study and teaching in elementary and secondary schools.

Grant Opportunity Resources - Grant seeking information plus grantwriting resources are both provided on this web site from SBC.

Grants and Nonprofit Information Center (Pima County Public Library) - This is a special collection of print and electronic sources of information and knowledgeable staff serving nonprofit and community organizations in Pima County, located at the Main (downtown) TPPL library. Also included are several grants databases available to library users on location in that library, including Foundation Directory Online and Foundation Grants to Individuals Online. (These databases are not available in the UA libraries.)

Grants for Nonprofits and Grants for Individuals - These two pages from Michigan State University list web sites for available grants by subject areas. Grants for Individuals also includes categories by academic level and population group.

Grants.gov - Grants available to organizations from all Federal grant-making agencies.

IRIS (Illinois Researcher Information Service) - Contains over 8,600 active federal and private funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Users can search IRIS by sponsor, deadline date, keyword, and other criteria. (Available only to UA.)

Institute of International Education - Extremely useful site for information about working or studying abroad. Fellowship information is also available.
