General Information about the UA:

The UA Library's Special Collections, located next to the Main Library, is the archive for all University of Arizona official publications. Many of these materials can be located in our online Catalog, by searching "University of Arizona" as either an "author" or "subject." The publications listed below are a few of the most commonly requested titles. Several are available online now, or may have some copies available for checkout, but the comprehensive collections of historical backfiles are located in Special Collections. Materials in Special Collections may be viewed on site, but are not available for checkout.

General Catalog - available online back to 1993.

Printed editions of the General Catalog back to 1891 are available in Special Collections, at E9791 Univ.1b. (Note: the UA discontinued printed editions after 2000/01.)

Circulating copies of many years up to 1991 are available in the Main Library, 4th floor, at LD186 .A7

Graduate Catalog - available online back to 2000.

Printed editions of the Graduate Catalog up to 2000 are available in Special Collections, at E9791 Univ.1b.

Budget/Salaries:

UA Financial Services Office FSO Information Services Web (UA only; requires NetID login) - includes various financial reports including the UA operating budget (payroll and budget). To get salary information, follow these steps:

  1. From main menu, select Electronic Reports.
  2. Select Report Folder: FSO-FM Payroll & Budget.
  3. For the most current information, select report: PSPB04M - Monthly Budget Book w/o EID.
  4. Enter a search (last name, dept. name, etc.) in appropriate search box, then click LOOKUP button.
  5. Select the desired name, dept., etc. in the list of results; this inserts it into the search form.
  6. Click GET REPORT button.
  7. Navigate through reports by using the PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons at top right.

UA Employee salary database - from the fiscal year 2006-07 UA budget, provided by Tucson Citizen. Searchable by name, job title, department and pay amount. Also indicates percentage of salaries paid from state funds. (ASU and NAU salary databases are also available through AzCentral.com.)

Paper Copies - The most recent paper copy of the UA State Operating Budget is located in the Main Library Reserve area (at Circulation Desk) under the call number YMRP 1, and can be checked out for 2 hours at a time.

Current and past UA budgets are located in Special Collections under call number E9791 Univ. 1 B927.

Arizona Daily Wildcat - available online back to Spring 1994.

Earlier years available in Microfilm Newspapers (1911-1982) and Microfiche 1343 (1915-1987)

Bound print volumes back to 1911 available in Special Collections at E9791 Univ.2 A72

Previous titles include: Arizona weekly life (1911/12), University life (1912/13), Arizona life (1913/14-1914/15) and Arizona wildcat (1915/16-Apr. 15, 1965).
