This database links to full text documents by and about indiviuals, linguistic groups, places (United States, Canada, Mexico), flora, fauna and natural events, organizations and institutions. Included are biographies and autobiographies, personal narratives, speeches and oral history. 

Biography Reference Bank
Includes bibliographis of articles by and about the person. Full text is provided for some.

Biography Research Center and the Complete Marquis Who's Who.
Brief to extensive information on over 1,000,000. Some full text articles.

American National Biography Online
Full text historical portraits of more than 17,500 men and women from all eras and walks of life whose lives have shaped the nation. None of these people are contemporary.

Encyclopedia of Associations Online
National and international associations with full contact information.  American Indian may be used for a subject search.

Bureau of Indian Affairs
The BIA website has been restored as of May 2008 after resolving all of the IT security issues which brought the site and all related internet services down in 2001.

Office of Special Trustee (OST)for American Indians

Established by the American Indian Trust Fund Management Reform Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-412), the Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians (OST) was created to improve the accountability and management of Indian funds held in trust by the federal government.

Bureau of Indian Education (BIE)

Web site for newly named Bureau of Indian Education, formerly the Office of Indian Education Programs, OIEP. The BIE has responsibility for 184 elementary and secondary schools and dormitories as well as 24 colleges, and our Bureau-operated Haskell Indian Nations University and Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute.

Tribal Historic Preservation Offices
National Park Service site which allows you to search for tribal preservations offices and officials.

American Indian Higher Education Consortium
Information about the 34 Tribal Colleges in the United States as well as one in Canada.
